Elon Musk says remote work is 'morally wrong' and people need to 'get off the goddamn moral high horse with the work from home bullshit'

Elon Musk recently criticized remote workers for having the luxury of working from home while essential workers, such as those who prepare and deliver food, are required to leave their homes to work. The billionaire called the laptop class "living in la la land" and compared remote work to a "let them eat cake" scenario.
Musk believes that remote workers need to stop acting superior and realize that they are asking everyone else to not work from home while they do. He also stated that he believes there are some exceptions to the need for office work but expects workers to put in at least 40 hours in the office.

While working from home has become a necessity for many parents, it does have its downsides. According to a survey by childcare provider Bright Horizons, 33% of parents feel that remote work is isolating, and 41% go for days without leaving their homes.
Additionally, 81% of parents handle parental obligations during the workday, and 61% do household chores during working hours, making the workday a constant push and pull between work and home responsibilities. Remote workers are also missing out on valuable in-person connections, which can affect their professional growth. However, with the rise of childcare expenses and shortages, remote-work flexibility remains non-negotiable for many working parents.
