Workers value paid time off more than health insurance, survey suggests

According to a recent study conducted by the Pew Research Center, paid time off is highly valued by workers, even more so than employer-funded health insurance.

The study, titled "How Americans view their jobs", surveyed 5,900 people and found that 62% felt it was extremely important to have paid time off for vacations or minor illnesses, while only 51% felt employer-funded health insurance was extremely important.

Additionally, workers who receive off do not use all their allotted time, citing reasons such as not wanting to burden colleagues or risk falling behind in their work.

The study also found that job satisfaction and relationships with colleagues were more important to workers than pay, with 67% reporting being extremely or very satisfied with their colleagues and 65% having at least one close friend at work.
