Do you want to move? These 11 cities are the most livable in the world in 2023

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) recently released its Global Liveability Index 2023, a survey that ranks cities based on their living conditions. The survey takes into account five sectors including stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. Vienna, Austria topped the list due to its exemplary education and health services, as well as its stability and reliable infrastructure.

The top 10 most livable cities for 2023 also included Copenhagen, Melbourne, Sydney, Vancouver, Zurich, Calgary, Geneva, Toronto, Osaka, and Auckland. The survey ranked 173 cities, with Damascus, Syria appearing at the bottom of the list due to the ongoing conflict in the country. The report shows that some cities outside the top 10, such as Wellington, Auckland, and Hanoi, saw significant gains in livability due to a return to normalcy after the early pandemic years.

Major U.S. cities, such as Los Angeles and San Diego, ranked in the 50s and 60s, respectively, while Kyiv, Ukraine ranked in 165th place due to the ongoing Russian invasion of the country. The report can be viewed online for those interested in finding their next ideal living location.
