Some Business Owners Say They'll Hire Fewer Employees Because of A.I.A new survey reveals how small business owners plan to use A.I.

According to a recent survey by FreshBooks, approximately two-thirds of small business owners plan to test generative A.I. within the next year. A quarter of respondents also reported they are already utilizing A.I. tools for tasks like generating website content, and images and conducting business research.

However, this increasing use of A.I. may result in larger businesses hiring fewer employees in the future, with 44 percent of respondents expecting to do so. Interestingly, while these business owners believe A.I. may result in fewer employees, they don't think they can be replaced by A.I. themselves.

Nonetheless, many business owners appear uncertain about how to benefit from A.I. with 46 percent noting they are unclear and 32 percent unsure of how to apply the tech. Those looking for guidance on how to use A.I. to start and grow their business are encouraged to read up on the topic.
