MCDONALD’S staff have threatened to quit over its woke new uniform of jogging bottoms and beanies.
Staff slammed the inclusive range which was designed to be sustainable and comfortable.
The burger chain says the range is made from recycled polyester.
A picture of the bright T-shirts, bandanas, jeans, and white trainers, was leaked in a Facebook group.
Staff blasted the idea of white shoes in a kitchen, while another hoped it was an April Fool’s Joke.
One staff member told The Sun: “It all feels very woke.
“If I was forced to wear it, I’d walk out.”
“And I’m pretty sure most of my colleagues would too.
“People will be discouraged from working there.
“It changes the look to a more urban style which doesn’t suit the brand at all.
“I just don’t understand it.
“I think they’re trying to be more like Five Guys and copy them - they’re sacrificing practicality for style.”
Worker Bukky, in South London, said: “Having the option to choose what I wear is important to me.”
The clothing will be trialled in select restaurants over the coming weeks with a launch in early 2025.
James Thorne, at McDonald’s UK & Ireland, said: “It allows team members to create a look that reflects who they are.”
