If you say you don’t stalk people on LinkedIn, you either don’t use it or you’re telling white lies.
Whether it be researching someone for an upcoming job interview, searching for potential employers, or even checking out a date, we all do it.
However, it can be pretty mortifying when they discover you’ve been lurking on their profile.
But a career expert called Amy, from the US, has shared in a now-viral video how to stop people knowing you’ve stalked them on LinkedIn.
Amy explained that all you have to do is “go to your LinkedIn and then click settings and privacy under your profile”.
“Then you click visibility and follow this with profile viewing options,” she said.
Amy said that you don’t want “LinkedIn Pro”, you want to click on “private mode”.
And then you can stalk people on LinkedIn without them knowing, it’s that easy.
Amy leads HR at a global company and helps people get ahead in corporate jobs while also helping people to “understand the back end of the corporate world”.
The career expert frequently shares videos with HR advice and tips on her Instagram.
Amy’s video garnered more than 26 million views and people in the comments section said.
“Super helpful, love it,” said one.
“Nice, I can get rid of my fake account now,” added a second.
“Saving lives and careers,” joked a third.
“Great tip, thank you,” added another.
