Taylor Swift is back to watch Travis Kelce and the Chiefs with Eras Tour soon to resume

Taylor Swift was back at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night to see her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs play the New Orleans Saints after the pop superstar had missed the team’s previous two games on the road.

Swift is in the final days of a break from her record-setting Eras Tour, which resumes with the first of three shows Friday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The tour’s North American leg continues in New Orleans and Indianapolis before heading to Toronto and Vancouver in November and December. The final show is scheduled for Dec. 8.

Swift also missed Kelce’s annual Kelce Car Jam over the weekend, a charity car show that raises money for his 87 and Running foundation, which helps underserved youth in the areas around Kansas City and Cleveland. There was still plenty of star power with Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, joining Kelce’s parents and his brother, retired Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Swift began her high-profile romance with Kelce last season when he invited the “Anti-Hero” singer to watch him in a September matchup with the Bears. Since then, the two have spent plenty of time together, often with cameras following every move.

Swift has stayed out of the spotlight the past couple of weeks, though. That after a particularly headline-grabbing week in which she endorsed Kamala Harris for president, took home seven trophies from the MTV Video Music Awards, and show up to see the Chiefs beat the visiting Cincinnati Bengals.

Swift has become close friends with the Mahomes family over the past year. That created some controversy when the 14-time Grammy winner said she supported Harris over Donald Trump in the November election; Trump has referenced the quarterback’s wife after she had liked — and then unliked — an Instagram post by the Republican presidential nominee.

Patrick Mahomes has declined to endorse anyone in the election, instead urging people to register to vote.

“I don’t want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate,” Mahomes said. “My place is to inform people to get registered to vote. It’s to inform people to do their own research and then make the best decision for them and their family.”

Taylor Swift has officially become the world’s richest female musician, with an estimated net worth of $1.6billion (£1.2billion)

Earlier this year, Swift appeared on Forbes‘ annual billionaire list for the first time ever, and yesterday (October 5), they updated her net worth to reflect its growth amid her ongoing, colossal ‘Eras Tour’ and the continued popularity of her catalog.

According to the publication, Swift now tops the list of the richest female musicians – surpassing Rihanna who reportedly has a net worth of $1.4billion (£1billion). However, according to Forbes, Rihanna retains the title of “Richest Female Musician of All Time”, as her net worth once had a peak evaluation of $1.77 billion.

The ‘Love Story’ singer is also ranked at Number 2 on the list of richest musicians, with Jay-Z taking the top spot due to his estimated value of $2.5billion.

In their summary of the superstar’s wealthForbes estimated she had made $ 600 million from her royalties and touring and another $ 600 million from her catalog.

Much of this fortune comes from the singer-songwriter’s string of re-recorded albums which she has made in a bid to regain control of her master recordings. The most recent of which was the re-release of her 2014 album ‘1989’, which went on to outsell the original record.

Forbes also claimed she made $125million (£99.5million) in real estate, and reportedly also earned $100million  from Spotify streaming royalties alone last year, thanks to the combined power of 2022’s ‘Midnights‘ and 2023’s ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’.

Bloomberg originally reported that Swift became a billionaire in October 2023, thanks to her new albums, the ‘Eras’ tour (the first tour to ever gross $ 1 billion and a record-breaking concert film.

In other Taylor Swift news, the pop star wrapped up the UK and European leg of her Eras Tour in August with five final dates at Wembley Stadium.

To commemorate the occasion, the stadium gifted her with her own personalized Wembley guitar. It has also been suggested that Swift should be awarded the London Freedom of the City for her record-breaking residency.

She is due to re-commence the final stretch of her ongoing tour in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on October 18, before ending the mammoth ‘Eras Tour’ run in Vancouver, Canada in early December.

Swift recently shared that she’s backing Democratic Party candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming US election.

Last month, the singer announced her endorsement of Harris’ presidential candidacy, championing her as “a steady-handed, gifted leader”. Swift added: “She fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them… I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

The update sparked a backlash from Trump, who made headlines soon afterward by sharing a post on social media reading “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”.
