Goodbye to office work? These are the main US companies that offer telecommuting

The pandemic introduced the world to the advantages of working from home. For many, this has become the preferred mode of work, and they do not wish to look back.

There have been a number of studies on whether employees prefer to work remotely or return to the office. The exact percentages vary, but there is a consensus that majority of employees prefer to work remotely either full-time or as a hybrid option.

Despite the preference of workers, big companies are requiring employees to return to the office. Major businesses like Amazon, Disney, and JPMorgan have required their people to be back at their desk.

Billionaire Elon Musk warned X and Tesla employees in 2022 that those who failed to show up in person would be considered to have resigned from their post.
