In one location, tech workers made up more than 22 percent of the workforce.
Across the US, 7.25 percent of the workforce — around 16 million people — are working in tech. In some parts of the country, however, that percentage is much higher.
To uncover America's tech talent hubs, CourseReport analyzed 222 million LinkedIn profiles across 28 tech industries and mapped the share of people working in tech in each state and the 50 most populous US cities.
When it comes to the states, Washington (11.49 percent), New Hampshire (10.69 percent) and California (10.17 percent) had the biggest shares of tech workers making up their total workforce.
The country's biggest tech talent hub overall was San Francisco, where 22.54 percent of the total workforce was in the tech industry. San Jose (21.86 percent) and Seattle (16.48 percent) followed behind.
