It’s not Google or Amazon: This is the most valuable brand in the world in 2025

What is the most valuable brand in the world you might ask? Google perhaps? TikTok? Last month, TradingPedia published the results of its recent study in which it ranked the world’s most successful companies from one to 20. Six US brands are featured in the top 10 - with China, South Korea, and Germany, the other countries represented.

TradingPedia’s brand valuation methodology is based on Brand Finance’s annual brand rankings, which essentially estimates the amount a company would be willing to pay to license its brand as if it did not own it. Other factors in calculating a brand’s worth include the expected financial returns over a company’s active life, discounted market uncertainty, and specific asset risks.

Apple Inc. is currently the most valuable brand in the world, with an estimated value of $516.58 billion - an increase of almost double from the previous year when it was valued at $297.51 billion.

The tech firm also leapfrogged Amazon, the leader in 2023, which experienced only a 3.22% increase, and now its brand is valued at $308.93 billion, ranking 4th globally. Microsoft and Google occupy the second and third positions, valued at $340.44 billion and $333.44 billion respectively.

It was interesting to see Walmart drop down a place in the listing after suffering a 14.89% change ($16.939 billion) in 2024. As a result, Samsung Group moves ahead of them into 5th, despite also facing a slight decrease in its value (0.3%), which stands at $99.37 billion.
