Burnout costs US employers millions

According to a new study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, overworked employees can cost employers millions of dollars. The study found that employee burnout costs American businesses between $4,000 and $21,000 per worker annually in lost productivity and turnover. Additionally, employee disengagement can cost 3.3 to 17.1 times the expense of training per worker. Suggested interventions to reduce this risk include mental health benefits and properly managed workloads.

Burnout recovery is something everyone struggles with, and it can be a hard process.

To truly bounce back, you need to step back from the daily grind.

Periodically, you need to:
→ Recognize the signs of burnout early
→ Schedule time off and genuinely disconnect
→ Re-evaluate and prioritize personal goals
→ Engage in activities that replenish your energy
→ Seek support from colleagues or mental health professionals

All the other tasks involved.

This is challenging for everyone, especially when you're knee-deep in demanding projects or juggling multiple responsibilities. (So, show yourself some compassion!)
