Walmart is the largest private employer in the nation, with over 2 million associates, and the single largest in 21 states. Nationwide, the company says that it now operates over 4,600 Walmart stores and 600 Sam’s Clubs.
The company states that 75% of jobs at Walmart don’t require a degree and those include positions such as store, club, and supply chain managers which pay upwards of $100,000. Last year over 300,000 associates in the US were promoted and 75% of its store managers started off earning an hourly wage.

Walmart says that the average hourly wage for its employees is over $17.50 per hour as well as benefits. However, there are positions where you can earn up to $27 an hour with no previous experience.
